This amazing Nature Reserve and its surrounding areas offer “The Big Five” along with other numerous species. Amazing lodges, game drives and located only 1.5 hours from the “Las Vegas” of Africa “Sun City”. The 150,000 acre Madikwe Game Reserve is situated in the far North of South Africa’s Northwest Province, close to the Botswana border. Only a 3 hour drive from Johannesburg this Park has now become one of South Africa’s prime safari destinations. Madikwe is home to some 66 large mammal species including elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and cape buffalo. Over 300 bird species also inhabit this region. The reserve consists of vast plains of open woodlands and grasslands, and cut by the rugged Rant van Tweedepoort, and bordered in the south by the beautiful Dwarsberg mountains. You will be taken on day and night game drives or bush walks. We organize excellent accommodations for our guests at various private lodges in the Reserve and bordering the Reserve.
